On February 1st a rebellious opening took place and formed the kick-off of our new exhibition. Four prominent international artists spoke passionate about their politically engaged work. A unique line op: Song Byeok – North Korean Artist (North Korea), Victoria Lomasko(Russia), Khartoon! by KhalidAlbaih (Sudan) and Mundano (Brazil). It was a distinctive, enrolling and well visited event. On February 2nd the event continued with a Meet & Greet with the artists. The audience could come closer to the hidden stories behind the courageous artwork. The four whistle blowers talked about their passion and motivations reflected in their work. The audience was gripped by these personal stories. The room was filled with silence, you could hear a pin drop. It was an interesting, though moving event. An event full of art, resistance, power and humanity.
