Artistic interventions at the kitchen table
Many people have opinions about social and political themes. But not everybody climbs the barricades. Large groups want to speak out, but they prefer a more playful way. With humour and a wink. That’s the basic idea behind this new and distinctive tableware line by the Power of Art House. Artful products with a message, to provoke and titillate your guests at the dinner table. The perfect conversation starter for a special evening.


Critical voices
Scores of people feel a sense of powerlessness when large companies evade taxes or show utter disregard for the well-being of people and animals. The Power of Art House translated this indignation into humorous and slightly daring products. For example the tea set ‘It’s Fucking Tea Time’: inspired by the CEOs of companies like Booking, who receive enormous government support in times of crisis, but usually mostly try to please their shareholders. It’s a stark contrast to the fate of sectors that are hardest hit, such as the cultural sector and the hospitality industry.

Brands like McDonald’s, KFC and Red Bull are also not spared. They slickly tempt us to consume their greasy, animal-hurting foods and unhealthy drinks. Now their mascots hang crucified on our champagne glasses under the heading ‘Guilty Pleasure’. The table guests themselves are alerted to their responsibility for their own consumptive behaviour, reading lines like ‘Enjoy your fucking dinner’ and ‘Gonna eat this shit?’ on their dinner plates.


Hand-made and limited edition
All products are exclusively designed for this tableware line and everything is hand-made and hand-painted. The edition is limited. The collection will renew regularly, so we can respond to the changing climate and themes within the public debate. The proceeds will go to our foundation, in order to finance another beautiful art project soon.
